navigate through the web of agencies involving concerns like medical
insurance, heating assistance, and subsidized housing.
The Yellow Springs Senior Center Transportation Program
...provided seniors in the community with rides to doctors’ offices, shopping
trips, the polls on voting days, and events at the Center. The driving was done
by volunteers (12,000 miles in 2008).
The Yellow Springs Senior Center Homemaker Program
...provided seniors in the community with in-home service assistance in
areas such as light cleaning, food preparation and errands for more than
5,290 hours of friendly help.
The Yellow Springs Senior Center Volunteer Program...
coordinated more than 105 volunteers who provided more than 4,4500
hours of service to local seniors.
A mere increase of $6.76 per year (per $100,000 of home value) will
allow us to continue to MAKE IT MORE and MAKE IT WORK.
